We cover curing, cutting, storage, serving, recipes and cultural context. We do not sell products, rank shops or accept affiliate links.

Sources and precision

For regulations, food safety, labelling and storage, we prioritise public bodies, legal texts and certification organisations. Guides identify sources when they support a verifiable claim.

Recipes and images

Recipes are editorial proposals developed for this site. We provide quantities, timing and practical cooking cues. We do not describe a recipe as tested without a documented kitchen test, and do not invent ratings or testimonials.

New AI-generated recipe illustrations are labelled on the recipe pages. They show the intended presentation and are not photographs of a documented kitchen test.
